My experience was that the Solens were rather bright, poor bass extension & very grainy in the top end.
I switched to Sonicaps & the difference was night & day. Much smoother, more extension in the bass & a lot more detail in the top end without any glare. I could run the system much higher in gain with less fatiguing sound.
Obviously there are more expensive & better sounding caps, but the Sonicap seems to be a good balance between sound & cost.
With regard to burn in, I did find that the Sonicaps needed about 50 hours before they sounded their best.
I'm just about to do some experimenting with inductors & have decided to give the North Creek Music inductors a go.....all reports seem to be that they are a big improvement.
